2-bedroom shared house, Hollands Ave
Marrickville • New South Wales 2204
Description
AVAILABLE FROM :SAT 22 MARCH 2025 to SAT 31 MAY 2025 (10 WEEKS)
I am offering a quiet, beautiful house in Sydney's Inner West for a single FEMALE student/ academic.
This vacancy is only for University STUDENTS.
For WAGED academics, the rent can be negotiated.
When contacting me, please tell me something about yourself. Just as I have described myself below, I need to know more about you.
"I am interested in this room " OR "When can I see the room? " are questions without any information that I often receive. I need to know more about you, where you are from, and which University are you affiliated with?
My last listing garnered over 300 views and many enquiries, so the more info I have the easier it is for me to decide.
ID is essential for both Australian or overseas tenants.
Viewing the room is possible.
About myself
I am a mature, practicing visual and performance artist and academic, with a doctorate in art from UOW with associations with Sydney Uni. I paint, write and work from home. I have been successfully hosting students, professionals, artists and academics from Australia and overseas for the past 8 years.
LOCATION
This location is fantastic for everything, a seven -minute walk takes you down to Marrickville Road where there are buses to the city, and a short walk takes you to Marrickville Station.
Everywhere there are great grocery shops, Chemists, Vietnamese restaurants and other great Greek and Asian eateries, and more.
Close by is Marrickville’s weekend Addison markets for fresh organic produce.
The newly opened Marrickville Library is just down the road and offers another great space to work, with an alfresco cafe.
TRAVEL TRAIN AND BUS
A short (7 min) walk to Marrickville road with buses (426 & 423) into the city, will take you to Newtown, Sydney Uni, and Central.
The Bus 412 is even closer, a 2- minute walk from the home that also takes you past Sydney University and Central.
If you happen to have your own car, the wide one way street allows parking right outside the home.
THE HOUSE
This is a secure home and neighbourhood with good neighbours who look out for each other. The house is opposite a park, with another large park five minutes away. It is a safe and secure place. It is a heritage street, so no high rise apartments.
